Well I had my coworkers over to watch a movie because me and my coworkers are also like best firends, and coworker Leif was a weirdo and brought his girlfriend along...wtf? But then he let me drive his '52 Chevy which was SUPER AWESOME. But it also left a big oil stain in my driveway and I'm pretty sure my dad's going to kill me.

Me and my father used to go at it when I was your age. It stopped when, one day, I literally punched him a few times for smacking me in the face. (I was being mouthy...I told him to "suck it".) That's why I laughed when you said your dad could eat you for lunch (meaning, he could take you if it came to foots in asses.)

Intimidation only works for so long and then you either move out, or punch each other.

😬 I'm not tall enough to punch my dad anyway, but it kind of sucks because we fight all the time and now my mom isn't speaking to me. But I hope he just has me power wash it and doesn't make too big of a deal, I mean the car that left the spot was pretty flippin' sweet.

I don't reccomend actually doing what I suggested...but when I was your age, sometimes I wish I would have done that... 😆 If you dad is grumpy and controlling like my father was, you probably think that same things I did...

Seriously, when you move out to go to college, it is SOOOOOOOO much better. Shame that you and your mom are having problems...my mother would be ashmaed of both my father and I when we would go at it and she would sometimes give us both a "good chewin'".

What I did at the last little bit while living with my parents that made it easier: I tried to work a lot and go on dates a lot. The less time you spend at home, the better your parents are because they appreciate the little time they have with you more...it also gives them less reasons to complain about you.

I know there is a certain aspect of wanting to keep things to yourself, so I can understand if you don't want to divulge specifics. What exactly happened that caused those bridges to burn. Again, this is the interwebz and you don't have to feel obligated to put that stuff out there.

Eh, well my mom, we started arguing a lot and eventually during these episodes we'd say things we didn't mean and she told me she didn't want me to come home during the summer while I was at college and that I didn't need to come home at night because they didn't want me around the house, then I told her I hated her and I wanted nothing to do with her, and now we just ignore each other.

Great! Since I have moved out and started a life of my own, my parents seem to respect me a lot more AND my father doesn't give me crap anymore. We actually have a really good relationship now. I had to set some boundaries with my father after I moved out when he started to cross the line...and so did he. Once we understood each other as MUTUAL adults, it worked out great. Its amazing what a little number will do for you. (Age)

Wow, that's great, I've actually something to look forward to now ✅ I just wonder how long it takes for parents to realize their kids are grown up 😛

My mom is convinced I do drugs. 😐 I don't understand it. More specifically she thinks I'm on heroin. Is that the one you do with a needle in your arm? See I don't even know what drug I'm supposed to be using. 🙄
