Here's a bit of personal info. My mom died when she was relatively young from colorectal cancer. As a result, I started having to have colonoscopies in my late teens and very frequently. Now, I'm preparing for one and having recently become a Kaiser member am very surprised by their directions.
Basically, they tell you not to eat any seeds, nuts, tomatoes, grapes, beans, or peas for a week before the procedure because those can clog the instruments.
Here's the funny part: You're responsible for paying for any damage to any medical instruments that may be cause by you not following this diet!!! First of all, how does that even happen? Just by going through the prep you insure that you may not even have a skeleton left!!!
"Sorry sir, we're fining you because your ass somehow broke my state of the art, flexible steel instrument."
Does this every even happen?
