Good thing to notice, but that never happens. I never ask for people for their vin numbers. Number one: they never know any way, Number two: its on a label on the door, so I just write it myself.

I was thinking more if an employee were to write it down on the work order or what-not.

Exactly, and that's why I have a standing rule that all hand-written letters are lower-case. This is to prevent other people from confusing 1/I, 2/Z, 5/S, 6/G, 7/T or 0/O.
Nothing will slow down production like a computer not reconginzing a work order due to some idiot's handwriting.
