My first memory is when I was five, at my uncle's house in Connecticuit. His driveway had a steep downward slope, followed by a wooden bridge that went over a creek. I rode a scooter down the slope and hit a large crack that stopped my scooter instantly, but didn't stop me. I flew over the handlebars: 5 feet in the air, and then about 2 more feet on the ground. 11 years later, I still have a scar on my knee and forehead.
