MMA is about street fighting and beating the other guy. I dont need "principles" during a fight, I want to survive long enough to evade if i am getting beaten or beat the other guy during a fight whether on stand up KO or ground GNP. All MMA is about Striking/defending punch kicks elbows knees and clinch/throw when on feet and wrestling getting dominant position or slamming them on the floor then finish off with ground and pound or submission.
Martial art is an art of a single discipline.
Mix martial art is pure brutal combat incorporating all types of fighting styles and has alot of options.
When you have alot of options you are more likely to win the fight.
just my 2 pennies on ma vs mma
sigh...facepalm
learning a bunch of random moves from various MA doesnt mean you are better nor that MMA is an actual structured discipline..
the black guy is just about to tear through these MMA like a knife through butter.
gotta love suburban ppl who think MMA makes you a real fighter and its the same as a street fight.
go watch Redbelt.
think:
if you study MA for 10 yrs learnes 100's of moves both grappling, striking, joint locks and then some one shows up and practices for a few months and years with stars in their eyes and simily practices 30 to 50 moves taken from other MA. who do you think is better rounded ?
