nah.. the coach would have wanted me to beef up and over eat to reach the goal too much carbs but, it would make me slower...their extreme weight lifting low reps would beef me up and i would still get weaker,.
all they would prepare me for is short burst of explosive power...
my MA requirement was to do 200 push ups on my knuckles and run rattle snake mountain course 5 miles in 35 minutes.
plus other MA workouts.

now as a young bad@$$ varsity wrastler junior yr and senior yr who was also a stand in runner for meets he wanted me.. hell no!! i remember his sh#$ talkin wouldnt play for him if he begged me...
i didnt like goin to meets and my other coaches would ask me from time to time to go to them if they felt they couldnt win without me.
i was that bad@$$ only did it for the training not to compete.
he only started noticing me when i got in a fight with one of his players in the weight room stopped his punch cold...
i got one scholarship letter from Arizona... i was insulted that i only got one and not one from my own state.
i turned it down, arizona is too far and its hot.. i didnt want to get darker.
