Yeah, this one took nearly 3 weeks. I was starting to get nervous that one thing on my record had screwed me out of the job.
When I come up with a good idea for a story, I fixate on a particular scene in said story for days or even weeks on end. Using many different dialogue sequences and many different characters. Also, the characters are oftentimes based on people IRL, whether I know them personally or not. The things that happen to them in the scenes or stories or how they are portrayed isn’t for revenge, it’s just that I need faces and names to put to a certain personality type. Really, I think that every single person who ends up in a story or scene of mine, regardless if I’ve written it down yet, they should be flattered. Because I took the time to select you specifically from the thousands of people I’ve seen in my life. And if that story finds it’s way onto book shelves and is made into a movie, you get the bragging rights that, hey, you inspired one of those characters in the book or on the screen. People might not believe you at first, but if you’re memorable enough to me, I’ll straight up confirm that, yes, you [person] are in fact the inspiration for a character in a hit book/movie.
You’re welcome.
