Hoping to still be able to go on our vacation. 🙁
Everything's already to go. The theme park tickets bought, the hotel reserved and paid for, Jessica's already got the time off from work, the van is being worked on to make sure everything is in tip top shape.
...and then her mom twisted her ankle and now isn't going to be able to watch our kids for the 4 days we'll be gone. She has her husband taking those days off too so they can both watch the kids, but they pretty much refuse to watch them now.
Only 2 weeks to go and now this humongous wrench has been thrown into the mix. I feel like bad shit always happens to us when we try to have a good time. Like getting locked out of our car on our wedding day (my mom had taken my keys and drove home...70 miles away) and being stuck in downtown Las Vegas with dead cell phones and no change of clothes for 6 hours. All this on our wedding night.

So far, so good! They called me up this morning and said they're still up for watching the kids.
Less than 2 weeks now and we'll be relaxing in California. We really need this time to ourselves.
