Meh it's alright. It depends on the dorm.
Mine was awesome because everything was covered by my student card, all food I could want, laundry etc. So basically I didn't have to pay anything whenever I needed something.
It's cool because you're always surrounded by people but at the same time if you have a single room you have lots of privacy.
It's kinda shit because people can be inconsiderate and be running up and down the stairs yelling at like 5 am the night before a midterm. shrug
And often times kids who have never had any type of freedom go nuts and drink way too much etc.
And sharing bathrooms sucks if that's something you have to do.
All in all it's alright. But I'm happy I'll be in an apartment on my own next semester and not surrounded by first years etc.
I did get to see the dorms. We will have to share a bathroom/shower with our suite mates. And I will have 1 roommate who I do not know who it is yet. I think by July we will get there contact information.We had to fill out a survey explaining what type of person we were and they try to match you up with someone similiar.
I am looking forward to it, more I guess to be on my own and to see how I handle responsibity on my own.
We have one of those cards which covers the meals and laundry. So that will be easy.
I also hope in a few years maybe my Junior year I can move into an apartment with some friends.
