I think that was the main point though because as the movie got going we saw more of Graysmith's obsession with it.

The movie was about Greysmith...not the Zodiac...so it should have been called Greysmith: The Zodiac Hunter or something cheesy like that.
Also, he obsessed over the Zodiac so much...why did he freak out when he was in a "certain" person's home? If I had studied that guy as much as he did...I would have been happy to been in a "certain" person's home.

If you mean when he freaked when he was in Vaughn's house, it was because he though Vaughn was the Zodiac killer.

Yes...that is what I mean and yes...I knew that and that was my point; he freaked out when he shouldn't have...and yes....I was trying to avoid throwing out names as to not spoil the movie...
