that movie was awesome! I loved it. I liked the end even though Doug was a jackass lol what a dumbass. anyway, yea the rape seen was kinda... strange. I mean those retarded people, would they know all that?

And what the hell was that movie with the little boy in the swing int he previews. I was like holy shit. he scared the crap out of me

Completely different tone and atmosphere, really. The original is kinda campy and a bit light hearted. This one is extremely intense and really sets out to make the viewer feel upset and uneasy. Great suspense and some excellent gore. Also the remake is very focused on the revenge aspect of the story.

I would say this: This is the best of all of the recent horror remakes, by far.

Is theat "The Omen" preview? the lil guy in the swing, What creep me out was that it said he was coming on the 6 day of the 6th month of the 6th year(666) and dammit I realize we are in the 6th year! The movie was ok, it wasnt awsome. I agree, I dunno why they would rape the gurls, they wouldnt know the first thing about it. And damn,Doug took a good beating in that movie and he kept coming.

Well the were actually just ordinary people....that were a little disfigured by those "atmospheric nuclear tests" so they would understand.....all things about sexuality that we do. The rape scene was a little bizarre....I actually saw one lady quickly lead her kid out of the theatre when that scene came up.

I thought the movie was pretty good....I need to see it again to really pass judgement on it......but I do reccomend it......most people seem to love it.

yea man, anyway I the rape was strange, and in my theater this pady had her like 4 year olds in it. I was like wtf man you don't take little kids to this. And yea Doug was called a wimp and look now lol beat the hell out of them.

saddest scene was little red riding hood lol thats what I call her. why did she tackle the dude off the cliff. drop kick his ass or something. lol anywa how it zoomed into the binoculours at the end was cool. even though doug could prob take them.

Yea it looks like they have one or two more to deal with......it might be a Hills Have Eyes 2....it wasn't like they really had a way out....just would've been a really long walk....and now especially with more of the cannibals alive.........................

That blonde girl was hot. The scene were lil red riding hood tackled the guy i saw it coming a mile away before it happened. I think they had a way out, just go back to the crate and get one of them cars. I would hate to see what the baby would be,if any, from the rape.

I kinda want to see it. However I've never seen the origional so I dont really know what to expect. I've also been told that the origional is really cheesey but so was Amityville Horror and I still liked it.

She was hot, little red riding hood scene I also saw. Doug is a dumbass. Drops the gun right beside the guy, so obvious. But she still could havw dropkicked his ass lol. About the cars at the crater, all fo them were torn up, I mean almost all of their tires were out and I doubt the keys were sitting there...

the rape scene? i think they must of cut it in england. All i saw was him unzip his trousers, she was crying, and then it went to another scene.
great remake though. Its more darker than the original. i enjoyed it.

The rape scene wasnt graphic, it was kinda fast which wasnt bad. I dont think red hood knew what a drop kick was. Isnt it ironic that the inbreds could get enough signal to watch tv but pyro(doug) culdnt get any in his cell?

i expected the rape scene to be graphic because of the way people was hyping it up. it could of never been as graphic as the rape scene in irreversible

And yeh i know what you're sayin..why sacrifice her own life? And its stupid how doug threw his weapon by the mutant. i wanted to kick the guys head in who was in front of me, it was so stupid. Also stupid how the kid when he saw his mom being eaten, why didnt he shoot the guy instead of running off..and then decide to shoot him.

I agree.I havent seen nothing as close as that in Irreversible.

It was an alright film, haven't seen the original but I kinda want to now. I was more 'on-the-edge-of-my seat' scared at the beginning, but after a while, I got into the film. This film has one of the worst character developments, in my opinion, that really annoys me in some films. The one guy who is a nerd suddenly works out he's a tough guy who can wield an axe good!? See it in too many films. It worked in this, but I wanted to see a little more. As for the rape scene, all I saw was the unzipping of his fly and that was it. Didn't even know there was on. Overall, a good film that I may check out again.

If future remakes are going to be as good as this one ....then make'em! I really enjoyed the film. Gore factor was very good. The make up of the radioactive freaks looks great. The rape scene was disturbing...however, I will admit that I chuckle prior to the scene when the freak's face was shown.

I didn't even know the director was Alexandre Aja. This guy made Haute Tension. Which was also a very good film and I also did enjoy. He really knows how to put suspence into his films.

btw-beast is one cool dog....beauty was pathetic. 😉

I'll say 4 out of 5.
