My message was merely an informative one only for the sole sake of the consideration of any interested reader.
It came as a epiphany so I sought out more on the subject and I thought I just thought I'd mention it for the sake of enlightenment for those that were curious. Could be anyone.
This is pointless. Aside from the fact that this aspect of history is surpassed in being repeated only by Nazism and their atrocities, slavery is old hat, man. Alexander the Great burned whole cities and sold the populations into slavery. Barbars off the coast of North Africa abducted countless seafaring peoples, as did all pirates. Hell, pirates in the China Seas had a habit of sodomizing captives and forcing them into their crews. Most ancient civilizations practiced extended slavery, which was considered natural and even god-defended. Women and children suffered a form of slavery under oppression from men for thousands of years. In ancient Rome, the male of the household had absolute power over the women and children in his house.
And then you think about how every person in a capitalist country is alienated from the fruits of his or her own labors and forced to work for meager wages to support a family in a world that is less and less sympathetic... Really, I don't see a need for this topic. It's common knowledge. But I bet you didn't think about ANY of that stuff I brought up, probably because we don't have popular movie stars and comedians talking about it.
Yes, blacks endured something abominable. So did human beings of all races and backgrounds for thousands of years.
