I would imagine that most of the money made from the ads goes into maintaining the server. Since that's really expensive.
vBulletin is the site where KMC stems off of...If you go to that website vBulletin.com, there are many other sites that look like KMC, with the same format...As with google, I suppose google pays killermovies.com to advertise on their site and then they get profit from it too
With gmail, it is kinda the same thing...since they do not pay for the advertising they get profit right there

vBulletin is the message board software/script that KMC uses. There are lots of message boards that use vBulletin, it doesn't mean KMC is affiliated with them at all. The other two popular scripts are Invision and phpBB.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but Raz OWNS the license to run this forum. VBulletin gets his yearly fee, but everything else on KMC belongs to him.
The Google Adsense and the other ads have "impressions", aka every time they are on a page viewed, and they also have "clicks" so everytime they are clicked money is accumulated. He gets a monthly check from Google and the other ad sites.
I'm not sure of everything, but I'm sure Zed and Raz have an understanding on money made from KMC. A good amount goes to the hosting of KMC on server(s).
I read a report a month back about one forum that makes upwards of 10 grand a month. Though that does not apply to all forums.
Try not to speak on the matter unless you know what you're talking about. I've run websites and forums before along with using Google Adsense.

When I ran my site, there were times I'd get up to $2.00 a day from ads. We had only 100 members, most of which never visited. But there are other days where we'd make .02 cents, sometimes less. It depends on the ad.

Depends on the ad. Read the user agreement for using Google Adsense, there is no set price for their ads. Also you're not allowed to click your own ads on your site, that's scamming Google, that's why they check the IP's of every click registered on their software.
