Gideon got banned early on because he could copy powers and skills of anything, whether it be man or machine.

I'm not going to use that option of the Cranial Disruption System (mind downloader), just as Thor or Dr. Light isn't going to teleport. Death's Head has to use the device in order to access that ability.

Gideon can copy anything. He can copy a laser blaster and fire beams from his hand. Hell, he could copy Ironman.
