Big Love

This is a new program on HBO: http://www.hbo.com/biglove/

It's centered on the concept of polygamy, which I found interesting, haven't seen much of it in the media, Rodney Dangerfield's "My Five Wives" excluded.

Polygamy is still practiced widespread today in many countries, and not only by humans. Would you consider it wrong, and why?

Thoughts? Opinons? On the subject of polygamy or even on the show?

I could care less about polygamy except for the ABSOLUTE nightmare with the chatter and listening to what 2-10 wives lol🙂

Polyandry is another interesting one although not practised as much it is still around.

Its different, not wrong... just a question of culture, its all relative.

You can do what you like in your own country, but when you come to my country, abide by our bloody rules!!!!

That's all I have to say.

As long as he and the wives don't mind I don't see a problem, of course you can only get married once, so you'll just have to live together with the others.

I'm surprised at the response. I thought I'd be getting more of the "Monogamy is right! rar! you only need one lifetime partner and marriage is a sacred pact between one man and one woman! rar!"

i dont have a problem with it either personally, it was just interesting that now theres a show on it. you know how the media is, make it mainstream enough and everyone will be doing it.

I love Rodney Dangerfield, but "My Five Wives" happened too late in his career. He didn't have the usual spunk he always brings to a comedy, and the movie suffered.

I did like the kumquat joke, though.

Whoever is happy with Polygamy should go for it. It is extreamly widly practiced, around Middle East, Arabia in particular and throughout Africa.

Plyandry is practiced as well, particulary Asia and Tibet 😄

If a guy can keep more then one woman satisfied and be able to handle it finically, I think it’s fine.

polygamy is 100% wrong.

Do you get a bigger tax refund because of it? That's a serious question, because if it multiplies by the number of wives you have, then bring on the babes!!

I have enough hassle with one wife, who'd want to multiply that? 😱

Well if you can keep your extra wifes and kids off of welfare, I think you should get the tax benefit, but that’s just my opinion. 😄

Uh, yeah, I meant for people who actually work. So, is it a bigger refund? I may have to tell my significant other this new information...we may be able to buy a bigger bed this year with the increased refund!

There is no tax benefit worth multiple wives. Cost in shopping and time lost shopping OMG you are nutz. Now if you could marry them and make them live with their parents except for sleep overs that might rock!

Pending the info on the tax benefit, that is going to be a requirement I will tell all applicants during the interview process.

Well also realzing that sometimes periods don't always come at the end of a sentance. If you can handle it botankus you will become a Man-God because religion keeps polygomists in charge here in the USA but in a more "free" society with less religion you gotta be DA' Man🙂 aka Hugh Heffner!
