WTF!!!
Ryu owns Lui Kang so it is not so hard to say who wins!!
Ryu owns Liu Kang? 🤨
Shang tsung could destroy Kang in a second if uses his magic. But he wanted to beat him h2h.
Magic vs Martial arts? I say magic.

Unless they had reasonable prep they wouldn't be able to. I haven't really seen a version of MK that had character on par with SF character's implied speed. They might get blitzed and ryu bangs their head together or appear on their behind and shoot hadouken.
They don't need any prep. Everything they need is always with them. (strength, speed, skills and... magic)

oh and i forgot, if he can destroy him with only his sole magic and just wanted to defeat him in h2h, then why did he kill him by treachery along with help from Quan chi?

When he didn't succeeded in fighting Liu only then Quan Chi helped him.
Why do you thin Chi stayed nuetral at the beginning? Because Shang wanted to beat him h2h.
I'm thinking ryu gets his soul sucked out here...
seriously why does everyone base their perception of lui kang like the one from the movies?
he's a champion of the elder gods...
hell in his fight with ermac.. (ermac has the chi of countless dead warriors and is powerful enough to shake the planet just by fighting on it and lui beat his ass) he kicks a 40 ton pillar that gets chucked via tk at him and he sends it flying in the other direction in spite of it's momentum towards him....
