Prove creationism...I'll shut up!

[W]hat makes creationism more likely then evolution?

Simply said, logic! Hence the reason man is able to detect a Creator (without study). Man is (and was) created in God's image -- mind, body and soul. Otherwise, man is forced to concede: 1) nothing produces everything, 2) non-life produces life, 3) randomness produces fine-tuning, 4) chaos produces information, 4) Unconsciousness produces consciousness and 5) Non-reason produces reason.

If explanation is needed, please ask. Most people argue over point #4. The point is, we humans, being created in the image of God, are "self-aware" -- having soul! We are not robots, and we value ourselves, not to mention other things in life. A computer will never find another computer sexually attractive, ha ha! Understand the point?

[W]hat religion is more accurate then another?

In my opinion, either one religion is right or all are false. Square circles do not exist. If you genuinely seek the truth about any given religion, study it objectively. (Refrain from emotion and/or self-imposed philosophy.) Hint: the mono-theistic religions carry the most weight. No need to worship rocks and ocean gods.

Facts do not contradict themselves. Dig deeper, and you'll learn that someone is being dishonest.

[C]an science be that inept that they can get the atom bomb right or create televisions and satellites, but we cant trust them at all when it comes to biology?

Absolutely not! The Intelligent Design (ID) and Evolution debate, for instance, has diddly-squat to do with lack of evidence. The evidence supporting ID is solid, but so many reject it simply because it carries "philosophical/religious implications." Einstein was greeted with the same enthusiasm when proposing General Relativity! It was a huge discovery, and it flipped modern science upside-down. ID has had the same impact.

You're joking, right? What pray tell, does ID contribute to science?

C'mon man... let's skip the theatrics and get to the point! Of course, I was not joking. What's on your mind, AngryManatee?

It could if you programmed it to.

If you cram your fingers into your ears, close your eyes, and scream "The evidence supporting ID is solid" over and over, you will begin to understand were ushomefree is coming from. 😉

Very intelligent. You obviously have strong conviction in your opinions, and their must be a reason why. Would you like to debate?

You going to try that one-on-one thing again? 😉

Sure! And why not? It's a simple debate. What's the big deal??

Did you ever do it? I know a few people that were going to take you up on that.

What?

He wants a one on one debate about evolution and creationism. I would have done it but it turns out that I'm really good at falling for word-traps and would get torn apart, even if I am marginally informed. So I won't do it. This really seems like the wrong venue for such a discussion anyway; Forums are not designed for a private discussion.

That last time we did that, he got mad at me and then left the forum. So, I don't want to waist my time. 😉

What's wrong with a public debate? Isn't that what forums are for?

It doesn't matter whether you can prove it or not, if it makes people happy to believe this stuff, don't ruin their fun if they're not hurting anyone. That's one thing I hate about atheists, they're such a bunch of pessimists.

Atheist's are a bunch of pessimists??? That is a nice over generalization, we are not preaching that we are all sinners, the world is coming to an end and on and on.

However, teaching children that humans lived with dinosaurs is harmful because it sets us back as a civilization.

Saying that you are not a good person because you don't believe in God, saying that you are not a citizen of the US because you don't believe in God, a person can't marry a person of the same sex because God has deemed it so and I could keep going on if you would like. While Atheist are also not without their faults both extremes on each side should just chill out.
