You people are sadly misinformed. . .
Kar wasn't Mace's brother, he was - other than Mace - the only other member of the ghôsh Windu, the Korun clan from which Mace came from. So they were relatives, but not literal brothers.
And he sure as hell is Force-sensitive, Fishy; it can be argued that he has as much or more raw power than Mace himself.
And this would be a very close battle. Makashi would prove to be fairly ineffective against Kar's vibroshields; it's like using a rapier against someone swinging twin razor-edged bilobeds at you. Not to mention that Vastor's titanic strength would mean that Dooku's precision and caution would be more a weakness here than anything. His only chance would be in a battle of the Force, which would still be a challenge; the Korun knocked the living daylights out of Mace with a Force push, had enough control to coax parasitic, maggot-like creatures out of two peoples' central nervous systems and into a fire, and cowed Akk hounds with his mere presence. He was also feared by a society of Force-sensitives.
If Dooku tries to take the lor pelek in a jungle, he'll go down. But in most areas, he may win with his proficiency in Sith techniques.

Or read it in B&N like a smart person. 😉
Anyways, I pretty much agree with Fishy. I Kar's far stronger is sheer muscle strength. This battle'd be long and intense, Kar'd probably lose in a Force battle but with his Vibro-Shiv's... I say Dooku wins, though, cause I don't think Kar could stop Dooku if he tried to throw him across the room like he did with Kenobi. Still, it'd take a hell of alot to take Kar down. Tossing him across the room'd do next to nothing. But I say Dooku eventually wins since eventually Mace beat Kar (at the end of the book) and Mace and Dooku are roughly even.

Mace threw a vibro-shield at him and Kar had to block it with his own vibro shields. The shields shredded eachother and Kar was filled with shrapnel. I might not remember perfectly though.
Pretty much. . .
And darthsith, I don't see Kar getting beaten by a Force push, or even several Force pushes. He recovered from Mace's bone-shattering blows in seconds.
