A friend of mine is contemplating suicide....

What do I do?

tell his parents. if his parents care, they would whip his/her ass...

and if this "friend" is actually "you", then i don't know what to say. suicide is pointless.

The following is mostly generalities in a field in which I have no experience...

a)don't try and pressure your friend out of it too hard without a plan; you'll just push him/her away

b)make sure your friend is serious before attempting to stage an intervention

c)stage an intervention

then he'd really commit suicide

And actually, her parents are the reason. Their lack of care, concern and love for her are driving her insane.....

Just try to get her away from the source of the problem... remind her why she's alive. Give a nice monologue.

Tell her to see the school counselor. Tell her all teenagers go through a stage where they wish to commit suicide, and those who do regret it. If she has read "Chicken Soup For the Teenage Soul" then she would know that many people wish to live the second after they, say, take the pills. Life is a gift for her to treasure, and for her to live to it's fullest. Suicide is the easy way out, but not the right way. Despite the fact that they may seem uncaring, she is still their daughter and they love her more than anything in the world, excluding their other children which they love equally

I would suggest buy her a gun,so when she does it,she can do it fast and painless. 🙂

I would also tell her if she kills herself,she is risking being remembered forever as an Emo kid😕

tell her that she will die inevitably.... so why die so soon.

Talk to him and my best advice (sp?) is for you to get in contact with suicide hotline/online and report the incident. Or talk with your parents about this issue.

These types of threads however are not allowed on KMC and as a rule it will be closed.
