Legacy of the Jedi: The Story of Jedi Master Count Dooku and his padawan, Qui Gon Jin

"Legacy of the Jedi" takes place in multiple eras, from Count Dooku's days as a Jedi to the Clone Wars.

Lorian Nod is a promising Padawan and the best friend of Count Dooku. When Lorian decides to learn the ways of the Sith, Dooku must decide to side with the Jedi Council or his best friend.

Thirteen years later, Dooku has become a Jedi Master and taken Qui-Gon Jinn as his Padawan. Lorian has been exiled from the Jedi Order to become a roaming space-pirate. In a twist of fate, Dooku will once more face his old friend.

Thirty-two years later, Qui-Gon has lost his former apprentice Xanatos to the dark side and has after much thought decided to train Obi-Wan Kenobi. On one of their many missions, they must work together to fight Lorian Nod once again.

sounds great!

I read that book.

really?

It's a pretty good book. It chronicles Dooku's very early days, where even then he's angry at the notion that Yoda remains the most powerful Jedi of them all. There's one great part where Yoda keeps defeating Dooku very easily during some practice duels, yet Yoda allows the other padawans the pleasure of winning over him. This pisses Dooku off immensely. It was also good to read about Qui-gon's early padawan days, and how even then he cared about all lifeforms, always giving the survival-of-the-fittest Dooku much grief.

Yup.

And then there's the Obi-Wan and Anakin meeting Lorian during the Clone Wars part.

Yeah. And the Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan part.
