American Royalty

Can anyone please explain the fascination and admiration of the Kennedy clan in the U.S.A. for me please. I just don't get it.

Yeah know thats a fairly good question and all I can say is that Maria Shriver is married to the president of Kalifornia!

We, I don't know about all of them but that John Fitzgerald guy...now really, he banged Marilyn Monroe (who undoubtedly was a fine woman...)...and his big exit...now if that wasn' epic I don't know what is.

But is that really worthy of such respect and admiration? Lot's of people have tapped fine ass and then been killed.

I just see them as a crooked, decieptful, corrupt and truly annoying family. But I am interested as to why others seem to love and respect them so much.

Because they are just like any other royal family only without the royal blood...

Except the public placed the Kenedy's into that position. They are not royalty at all, just seen that way by many.

Public put the British Royal Family into position where it is, come to that. And considering how much Joe Kennedy bought his son's election, it's not much of a distinction anyway.

But JFK was young (ish) and fresh and determined and seriously wanted to do a lot of good things- and he did, in laying the groundwork for civil rights and taking on organised crime, courtesy of his brother.

Being shot always makes you a hero of course.

Tabloids and idiots who read them. Nuff said.

People just like conspiracies and gossip just like the Royal family. Tied in with the whole death of her and everything.

I love watching "Americas Funniest Home Movies" when they show the one of that guy getting shot in the head when he's sitting in the car waving to everyone. The look on his wifes face!

Well, people always want a priveldged family to identify with as upper strata Americana.
