Cap did, i read some comcis with him in them and he was a really well written character with even better storylines, never before has then been a character who wins more fights he is "outmatched" in on pure strength of will, time after time, captain america takes out opponents that are far his physical superior, on nothing more than pure skill, determination and the will to not let down his friends and what he beleives in, he doesnt just represent america, he represents patriotism, he represents what is right, and he is willing to fight for what he beleives in against God himself. Their is no character in Marvel or DC who is more respected by his peers and Foes alike.
