The Inland Taipan is also known as the Fierce Snake.
I'm assuming you're referring to the venomous Brown snake here.
There are three species of Brown Snake, Pseudonaja textilis, Pseudonaja affinis, and Pseudonaj nauchalis, if I'm not mistaken. All are native to Australia and do cause most snake-bite related deaths in that country.
However, the Inland Taipan's scientific name is Oxyuranus microlepidotus; they are not even in the same genus.
