When considering their powers and comparing on the forum, Superman is not on Galactus' level. In the comics though, Superman would deal with him in an issue or two. A good portion of Superman enemies though the years are above an average showing of Galactus in leaps and bounds and would destroy him with ease.
What a joke. This is a silly statement.
Superman may be powerful, but he is still a solar powered heavyweight.
That's all.
Galactus is a being so powerful, and so entwined in the Marvel universe, that it would die without him.
His is weak sometimes, and unbeleivably powerful at other times. This goes along with his character. Which is "hunger". That is what he does, and what drives him. Why he constantly travels, devouring planets.
As far as Thor goes, he is beyond just a strong guy. He was developed as a true God. A mixture of physical and magical strengths. The abilites available to him are way more than Superman. And they aren't just power abilities. With his hammer, he is potentially an energy and matter manipulator. He can travel ANYWHERE instantly. He can control portals to other dimensions, can focus his powers and effect the powers of others.
Anybody up for finding a dimension that would suck the solar energy from Supes? Because if there is one, Thor could send him there.
Etc.
As a matter of fact, if you look at the feats Thor has, it seems like the only thing limiting what he can do with the Hammer and magics at his disposal, is his creativity. And, his past shows that he has been able to get very creative with it.
Can Supes beat Thor? Of course. Some times out of 10. But, overall, Thor would be to much.
