Saying something like shows you don't really have a great knowledge of the fight.

Yes, Firelord could have destroyed the city or something to win. But he chose not to, saying something to the effect of "I must defeat him in single combat". Then he proceeded to get owned in single combat.

But it took Parker pretty much an entire day to take him out, and FL had a subway car ram him at full speed, had a building collapse on him, was point-blank for a gas station blowing up, and took countless hits from Spidey before going down. So is it solely a testament to SM's ability? No, of course not. And could FL have won with the city-destroying blast? Of course. But not destroying New York isn't PIS, and the rest of the fight was fairly credible. Besides that, it was still an incredible fight, and was actually written a bit closer to what it should be than people realize.

Should an exploding gas station really harm FL though? Isn't he basically a walking mini-sun? 😕

thanks, has anyone got any mrvel dc crossovers like c marvel vs thor or any one like that, pretty much all of them, oh and hulk vs supes when hulk was his normal stupid self and it was their own crossover

sorry sam theyre to big but look at previoes pages and u will see some

Captain Marvel vs Thor was a great one. A funny one was Spider-Ben vs Superboy, which isn't really beyond Spider-Man's means of defeating.

Doesn't mean he's a walking explosion. There's still the concussive force, even if the heat doesn't bother him.

thank u now get to the scans 😉 😆

i love ult hulk!

How much force does an exploding gas station put out?

A lot I would imagine. Gas is extremely flammable. And yeah, that's heat and all, but it'll increase the explosion size too.

This is all in addition to having a building falling on him, getting rammed by a full-speed subway car, and taking at least dozens of other hits from Spidey. I don't see why it's so unbelievable that he'd be put down by it.

My main problem with that fight was that all FL had to do was raise the temperature around his body. Spiderman wouldn't have been able to even touch him, much less beat the crap out of him. 😬 I love Spiderman but neither he nor an exploding gas station shouldn't be able to hurt a guy tough enough to fly unprotected in space or who has taken a blast from the Silver Surfer. But that's just my opinion.

True enough. I'd counter that it was all in the spirit of wanting to beat him head-on, to protect his honor (his words, not mine). Same idea as why he didn't just level half the city to kill Spidey.

No one sane ever argues that it's an accurate depictment of how a fight between them should go. Nor do they think Spider-Man should ever win (if they're being rational). But the writer's did a decent job of explaining away why it wasn't "dead Spider" in 2 seconds, and making it quasi-believable.

I can agree with that. The only reason that I think it gets such a bad reputation on this board is that many people are not willing to approach the fight from such an objective and thoughtful point of view. They just see the fact that Spiderman beat Firelord and, depending on their opinions of the characters, either dismiss the fight in total or embrace it wholeheartedly.

im going to try and put hulk vs bats on here for sam

how can u make the scans stay still when i do it its always moving
