Hmm..does anyone else find this man utterly irresistible? No matter how silly or utterly ridiculous he acts, he still apperas cool and well...hot!

(of course not considering Requiem for a Dream - since he was amazing there) most of his movies are based around ridiculousness, yet he manages to make the roles work - no matter how silly.

Oh and he has that boyish, yet ultra hunky look.

Anyone agrees?

I don't know about him being hot and all, but I love his movies. He really brings the characters to another dimension that others couldn't, and is kick-ass in pretty much anything he does.

But to be honest, I don't think I would have liked 'White Chicks' at all, provided he wasnt in there. him and Shawn were great.

As far as Don't be a Menace to South Central, I guess he was cool there as well, evne though he looke dutterly ridiculous throughout the movie.

Ladykillers I didn't like movie as a movie, but he was good at it. I was also glad he wasnt in the Scary Movie 3 - because so far, that one sucked more than the other 2 - and that says a lot.

Lil B, he was Don't Be a Menace! Without him (and possibly the "Dad" in the film, who was great), it would be just another come-and-go spoof.

I didn't really like the Dad...i understand the funny-ness, but it wasnt all that great.

I think thats the fundamental difference between him and Shawn - Shawn I can't imagine acting like Marlon and making it work, while I can imagine Marlon acting seriously and ridiculously, and STILL making it work.

He proved that in Requiem for a Dream.

And the best part in this particular movie is when Marlon is acting seriously - even though it's obviously a spoof.

Like...
when he's surveying the yard after the drive-by at the end, or
when he's reminding his dad that it's past his bedtime and did he brush his teeth, or
when he's fishing with his father at the river of sewage and talking about his first time...

Stuff like that. He pulls it off well because it's obviously a ridiculous situation but he raises his acting to another level which (almost) rivals the emotions of the actual character from the movie they're spoofing. That, to me, is what's hilarious.

It was Saturday afternoon when I saw a part of the special. Oh, and did I mention I immediately thought of this thead and our wonderful Lil B as they were presenting the award for Favorite Band?

Then, I went into my computer room at home and pulled out "Don't Be a Menace...", and figured out where I went oh, so wrong in mixing the two of them up.

wow, chicks find marlan wayans sexy....the power of comedy....he is a funny dude tho, there is no denying that

I like him, but I still say Shawn CANNOT act.

Even though they BOTH rode their brothers coattails into the buisness, Marlon has atleast improved, Shawn still remains emotionless in most movies and when he does show emotion it is by screaming and trying to act dumb. I Can't stand him. He's only still around because of his good looks.
