Manicures and Pedicures!?!?

My partner and I had the day off today, I asked him if he wanted to come over because I rented the movie Jarhead.

He said sure but it would have to be after 3 because He had an appointment to get a manicure and pedicure.

Is it normal for a straight man to get that done?

I've never had it done before. Because I* a woman thinks it would be odd to have someone else touching my feet. He's a guy...maybe I'm reading too much into this.
