But they can ask for one after the deadline has passed, right?

Yes, but I prefer that if someone's going to ask for an extension after the deadline's passed that it's within a few hours. That way they don't keep everyone else waiting.

Yeah, that's what I meant. If it's only a bit after the deadline's passed, they can still ask for one. Not like, days after. 😛
