For example, I been getting into Dr Phil Mc Graw books and show. And I feel his words can guide me into be that adult I should have been long ago.

I'd guess that isn't true. Maybe is finally time for me to just be the man I should have been years ago. When I hit 25 years old that the time to be man. Now I'm just getting older is time for me to be entering manhood.

I've never really watched cartoons since I was 10, but I still don't consider my self any more adultish(new word 😄 ).

If it isnt a prank, Dr ****ing Phil wont solve your problems.. hes an ugly old man with a self help TV show to keep his house. I wouldnt take his advice if it cost my life.
