PMs are private, but once it gets to rule breaking, the other person IS well within their rights to forward the messages to a mod. Mist should have reported the other person instead of retaliating 😬 it really sucks but he could have easily avoided it.

PM stands for *gasp* private message. Anything that happens in a private situation shouldnt be grounds for a banning, since he kept it off the message boards

Rules still stand, even within PMs. People get banned for spamming via PM as well. It is still abuse and breaking the rules of the site.
