Alright, anything said here goes for the Avengers thread as well, and I'll probably just copy/paste it.
I've had WAY too many complaints stemming from probably 3-4 members, and it revolves around these groups. And I'm having to deal with it even more because the other Mods are getting upset by it, and anyone who knows me well enough knows that I hate to play bad guy in the forums.
So here's the deal:
1. Stop acting like you're children. I won't be naming anyone, since at least 4-5 people have been implicated recently, but most if not all of them should know who they are. Act mature, and if you can't do that, stay the hell out of threads that make you say immature things.
2. Reporting people is fine if it's justified and overt, but reporting someone every time they annoy you also ends up annoying the mods simply because you can't deal with your own problems and we have to intervene. More reports from this forum in 2 weeks than I normally get in 2 months doesn't really do much to covince me these threads are serving a purpose.
3. From what I've seen, these group-threads are starting to become more trouble than they're worth. I make a lot of jokes at the JLA's expense (and they at ours), for example, but to both our credits it hasn't turned into a spam war. Start acting like these groups are purposeful or they will be closed as will any additional threads about them. I love the idea of groups and how it can change the dynamic of a forum, but when it just becomes a bicker-war, people have to start to re-assess why they're doing it in the first place.
