The musically inclined straight A student is the one with the mental handicap. Clinically diagnosed, yet she is leaps and bounds beyond others her own age without retardation. I've seen it in real life, and I'd be damned if I'd let some non-handicapped person without the will to learn (call it ignorance 😉) raise a child, yet the supposed mentally ill person has shown the responsibility needed to become a parent.
