I think it takes place on neutral ground, not in his realm.

Wait, didn't the latest fight happen AFTER the recton? And when did Thanos beat Mephisto in an actual confrontation? I'm not saying that it didn't happen, I was just unaware of it.

I'm pretty sure Surfer need Galactus(though I could be wrong about that), and Warlock only won because of the Soul Gem.

Marvel's been very very ambigous about Meph's power level. But I would say hes more powerfull then Neron. How would Darkseid fair against him?

on neutral ground classic darkseid should win, but in meph's own realm darkseid would go down hard
