No, that's true. I personally don't have a problem with people wanting or needing to believe. Where I do have a problem is with self-righteous, pompous religious people who deign to judge others and act like their shit doesn't stink.

First off I will admit not havnig read all 4 pages of this thread (my time is just too limited) so I hope it is okay for me to just jump in with the following.

For someone to say that the Bible contradicts itself they must give examples that come from the Bible. First off you need to read the whole Bible. You will likely come of with questions or what you might perceve as contradictions. If so please quote the verses you feel contradicts themselves and let's discuss them.

How many times did people think it was the End of Days? Armaggedon, etc.....

When the Black Death and the 100 Years War happened in Dark Ages Europe, those people SWORE it was the end of the world.

When the Holocaust happened, everyone who was sent to the camps, who survived, claimed they beleived this was the end of the world.

It is the end of the world EVERYDAY, because every day somebody dies.
