New Chili Peppers

The song is derivative, uninspired and indeed asinine.

Also I object to Kiedis' plebeian rhyming.

If this is what passes for rock and roll these days, we are in trouble.

Don't knock the working class, “if there is hope...it lies in the proles”.

Orwell aside, the song is cool.

Just heard it today, kicks ass, cant wait for album🪩

me neither, should be good...

*fly away on my zephyr* lol

Papabeard, if you still expect Chili Peppers to become Radiohead and start making vastly different albums then you don't know them at all.

They stick to what they know best.

Im not "knocking" the working class, I am the working class.

Plebeian also means unrefined or coarse in nature or manner.

Thats no justification, just a sad indictment.

What's hard to grasp? No justification needed. It's their music, they can do whatever they want with it.

They've been around for nearly two decades, so if you're still expecting them to go forward and be ultra versatile when that was never their game anyway, then you clearly do not know them.

If they sounded like any other band, then continuing that style would be dumb. They don't, though.

This is the place where all the devils plead their case to take from you what they need.

I am aware of its meaning(s), but you seem to be unaware of Frusciante and Kiedis' refinement. To appropriate your classification would be to negate your actual opinion; the Chillis have been refining their style for a good 20 years. I've yet to hear the new album, but media reports suggest it's a pinnacle.

i've never heard anyone say that. forgetting BSSM?

BSSM was very good, but I just really like the other two I mentioned before.

There's a bunch of albums I'm really excited about.

RHCP, Tool, Raconteurs, Pearl Jam and today I just got Wolfmother.

I think Broken Boy Soldiers (The Raconteurs) is going to be really good. Got a good feeling.

Then again, it's Jack White.

Actually don't know why you insist on being disturbing.

...Says the guy who's gone public about his 'good feeling'.

I like to rhyme, all of the time.

That guitar solo at the end of 'Dani California' has just melted half my face off.

Be honest.

Has it?

Uh... I just heard Dani California for the first time on the radio today, and I hope that the rest of the album is better because it didn't seem too good 😖
