Weakness: he's not as physically strong as some of the other students, but he's one of the top students at school due to his brain.
Fears: everyone whom he's ever gotten close to has died. His greatest fear is thus losing those he loves/his friends
Other: He's a really nice guy, but seems kind of distant at times. He likes his alone time, but doesn't mind being around others

Scars/Visible Flaws: one of the bandits (most likely the leader) felt that if he were to let the boy live, he may as well let him be a living symbol for other. Synn cares the mark inflicted to him to this very day. It is the kanji for death, written with magic so that the black mark is premanently on his face. It covers the left side of his face from just below his eyebrow to an inch of two below his eye.
Weapon(s): Synn carries three of a set of seven swords which have been in his family for years. The two which he uses frequently are about the size of katanas, but the he also carries a large sword slung across his back during battles. When the bandits murdered his family, they stole two of the blades, and Synn's sister and brother ran trying to protect the other two. The set of blades together are extremely valuable because they each have their own power, but when combined together (in the same fashion that Cloud puts his together) the weilder can unleash a devastating ability. The three blades which Synn carries are the strongest, and the two weakest (he can also combine these to form other weapons).
He uses other weapons for long range, such as: shuriken (normal and windmill) and arrows, but he's better a close range attacks.
Synn's going for the Rat as his guardian. I'll post his teacher in the next post, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind taking on another student.

Eccentricities: She has a habit of speaking in riddles when pointing out the obvious. She also believe that when her students succeed, she should treat them to ramen (or whatever they'd like to eat)
Other: The youngest of all of the teachers, she past her test at the age of 17. Before being rescued by Leiko, a former master (also of the Rat), she was a slave who was forced to fight animals (mainly tigers) as entertainment for warlords.
