I can't believe how childish this thread started off. If you
wish to speak about Satanism, then do so in a formal fashion.
This will only harm real Satanists in the long run. You don't
start off a serious thread with the exact same topic you'de start
a damn chatroom. Misunderstood or not, that's just not how things
are suppose to be done.
As far as Satanism goes, a few famous figures have had an impact
on Satanism. Names like Mark Twain and Benjamin Franklin to name a few,
engaged in Satanic rituals with their companies.
On the topic of Hell, I have to question what everyone's ideas are
on this. It seems that the main mental thought of hell coming from
younglings has to be a dark fiery canyon with brimstone and demons.
I grow sick of all the 14 year olds who wish to reside in the depths
of hell, how they "totally would blow off their parents" in hell
with Satan. This topic usually changes as the audience grows older.
My opinion, Hell is suppose to be the exact opposite of heaven. A
place full of pain and suffering. Torture and a thousand deaths.
Coupled with the distinct terms of Dante, from Dante's Inferno, rings
are spread across hell for you to venture through on your way to
meet your eternal suffering. Does that sound like someplace I'de wish
to go? Ofcourse not, it's horrible, Hell is suppose to be horrible.
It's not meant to look like the inside of a Hot Topic. However...
Satanists in general are a bit misunderstood. their lifestyle
consists of pretty much a party animal's way at looking at life.
They love to bask in their achievements and mock all those with
views which they think is the standard default. For example Christian's
have a way of rushing you into their religion like a relationship. To
some, it is a great relationship. Finding god to many is the most
beautiful thing in the world. Satanists are a bit bothered by that.
They believe in a strong sense of self-reliance, and know that their
actions are theirs alone. All the demi-gods aside, my interests lie
in the Satanist community. I've read most books, for example the
Satanic Bible, Journal of the Knights of Templar, The sign of Baphomet,
and Dante's Inferno to name a few. All of these are great works of
art, key-word here is entertainment. These books entertain me in ways
most cases can't. Much like the Holy Bible, which to most, isn't a
work of fiction, it enlightens the souls of people to change their way.
That also must be the way to go with Satanist, not just being glad to
say, I believe in Satan cuz he's cool, with glee.
Anymore of my opinions will be kept to myself, however my view on Satan,
for those thinking if I myself am a Satanist, I'm not sure how to respond
to that, you see, I don't believe anything as powerful as God, or even
Satan should exist. It seems unnatural for such a being to exist in this
day and age. To me, God just happens to be a grown up version of Santa
Clause. Growing up your told to behave or no presents, as an adult, your
told to follow your god with good behavior, and you shall be allowed to
enter heaven. That just doesn't fly with me. However, that is my opinion.
For those of you still wanting a serious none-childish conversation with
this topic, see me as a fountain of knowledge for anyone who asks nicely.
