Spider-man punches never really effected Brock Venom or Kassidy Carnage. Even class 100 brute force isn't very effective against symbiotes. In fact Carnage called Spider's punch pathetic.

CAN SOMEONE SHOW THE SCAN WITH CARNAGE FIGHTING BATMAN.

Later, on the next page Bats comments that Carnage is not just a street punk, but a death itself. Some people would say that Batman beat him with his bare hands, but the truth is that symbiote wasn't covering Kassidy's head at the moment. So he basically beat Cletus, not Carnage.

This thread is really lacking substance.

I agree with ^. It's not well-organized or thorough at all.

Dang...I like Symbiotes.... too bad that only a few remain "active"... 🙁

If you look at that fight you'll see that Venom wasn't even trying to fight back, he got the information he wanted from Spider and was playing with him "What are you gonna do? Kill us? Heh heh." In the next issue Venom knocked Spidey with a punch.
As for giant Venom, it was an upgrated symbiote which currently Gargan wears, I'm not sure if authors forgot about that upgrate, or not.

That conciderably made him stronger, but he once absorbed Carnage symbiote, but writers forgot about that, so I wouldn't be so surprised if they forgot about this upgrade as well.
