I'm gonna be honest. I like the picture that I put to speak for itself. I'm good at iconic shots and tech borders. If the picture can't speak for itself, then it's worthless. To be honest, I don't like a lot of signatures around here because they take away the impact of the original picture that they're based on. It's not about how many effects I can jumble onto one piece of memory. It's about giving a good decor to a shot that was already good. If you don't like it, then that's fine. To be honest, your style doesn't really interest me either. 😬

I'm sorry, but you can't proclaim yourself to make good tech borders. You need someone else to say that for you, and personally I think they suck. At least try to match the colors some, or make it really techy by adding stuff to the border. All you know how to do is play around with the polygonal lasso tool and a brush metal technique.
I'm not going to be like every drone who comments on signatures here on KMC. If I don't like the work I will speak up and give tips on how I think the signature can be bettered. If you don't want to take my advice, oh well.
Now in my post above I wasn't trying to be harsh, I was giving my opinion. If you can't accept the fact that not everyone is going to fawn over your amateur skills maybe you shouldn't be posting them for everyone to see and comment on. Either take both sides of criticism or stop posting sigs.
With that said...
Your images don't really captivate me. They stand out, but that's not a good thing. The render is never blended into the signature, the borders are wannabe tech that never match the work in the signature, the text has a lot to be desired, the backgrounds are simple works that anyone who has played with Photoshop for 2 minutes can do, some even look like they were just cropped images with text added over top and a brushed metal border added over.
If you want to comment on my signatures, go ahead, but do that in my thread so you can actually take a look at them.
If that's not enough, then I challenge you to a unique duel to let the people decide.

First of all: I don't care whether or not my images captivate you. Everyone has different tastes. Some people prefer what I do over others, and some don't. You win some, you lose some. Big deal.
Second: I've already said enough about your signatures, and I'll say no more. You know my opinion, and there is no possible way that you will sway it.
Third: I don't do duels with people who are well known on forums. Why? Because I know for a fact that they are not contests of talent. They're popularity contests. Many contests like that are the same way. Such is why I'll never enter a duel with you, Digi, Barker, Lana, or many others, simply because of the fact that they're popularity contests. Obviously your style, Barker's Style, Lana's style, and any others similar to yours are very popular here. Good for you. As for me, I'm going to keep practicing and getting better.
If you have any tips to give, then go for it. If I keep hearing more bunk like "don't do it until you get better" then I'll just take the high road and put you on my ignore list.

Because you've been looking in my window and watching what I do? Sounds creepy, to be honest. I've been making sigs for how long? 2 Weeks? You're expecting me to be an adept? Since when the heck have you been the person that I would want to talk to when I want help. Oh, wait! I don't!
Not watching what you do...it's called knowing how to do the same exact thing that you have posted. Day 1 knowledge. So you're an amateur, I can dig that, doesn't mean I'm going to sugar coat anything I say to you though.
Coming on to my thread and being not only rude, but condescending is not giving tips. Giving tips is being specific, and trying to help someone be a better sig maker. Bit of a difference. 😉
It may come off as condescending, but in fact it is knowing where you are going wrong. Your definition of tips is slightly skewed. What I first said, don't use those crappy tech borders, is still a tip. They don't work for your signatures, in fact they drastically take away from them. I'm not even going to bother being more specific than that because tech borders generally suck overall. I myself tested them out and maybe one or two were passable but the majority sucked ass. If you want specific, look for it in the Advice thread. 😉
I can take criticism, but that doesn't mean that I have to listen to what you're saying, just like I don't have to listen to what anyone says short of a moderator, and at the very least they don't act in a condescending manner like I'm a five year old trying to fix a car engine, and they're a seasoned mechanic. I'm a student that picked this up as a hobby to keep his sanity. I'm working at it, and will keep working. Until the time that I get better, you're going to see things that you don't agree with, or don't grab your attention. If you've got a helpful tip, why don't you at least put, "Why don't you do this," or "Using this effect or process will help you," instead of "don't use this until you 'get better.' That's like saying don't fire the gun if you don't know how to pull the trigger. This is something I need to practice.
You claim to be able to take criticism, yet the first time someone asks negatively towards your work, you get defensive...I saw what you said before you edited your first reply to me, and that is what I am responding to. I will still speak as if you don't know what you're doing, because you don't, and unless you accept help from people (besides a moderator) you never will. Trust me when I say that you can't always trust a moderators opinion. Lana is fine, but the first sig forum moderator was a random person who knew nothing about art/poetry/or graphic arts. (Sig forum used to be part of the art forum).
"Why don't you do this...Use a new border technique!" Which is what I've been saying since post 1. Open your eyes and read what I say properly.

Obviously you have no idea how things run around here, because the sig duels are NOT a popularity contest. The contestants choose the judge themselves. So if you think the judge your competitor wants will be corrupt, then pick one yourself, keep doing this until you are both sure you have found an unbiased judge. Any unfair judging is reported and Lana will deal with it herself. It's about skill and technique only.
Put me on your ignore list, I don't really care. At least I am not ignorant and I can truly accept constructive criticism, no matter how harsh it is.

You go on that big of a rant and say that you don't care? Lance, if you didn't care, you would have never said anything in the first place. Quit trying to make yourself out to be someone that isn't a jerk, because you're not proving me wrong. You've got any more banter to let off, then you tell me over pm if it's gonna get personal. Ignore list.

I say I don't care if you put me on ignore. 😑 Did you even read what I was replying to and what I said? Apparently not.
I say nothing in the field on whether I am a jerk or not. That's for others to decide. I speak what's on my mind, if to you that means I am a jerk then so be it.
Why would I PM you if I am on ignore? The PM would be blocked by KMC right after I send it since you cannot communicate with those on your ignore list. Besides this will never get more personal than judging each others work. That would be worthless bashing.
Now, I know you can't see this because you Put me on your ignore list after I did what Ken Did. Fortunately, everyone else can.
First, Drop the Damn Ego, and Accept some Advice. You Suck. Lance Doesn't. Now, My Species would usually Kiss Ass and Try to learn from Lance. You, obviously have problems. Now, you don't have to listen to us, as you said, but then you'll Never get Better. I'm talking from a Graphics Standpoint of Good, not 'What ThunderStrike' thinks.

Plus, Have some Confidence. Saying We Suck and you're good, then turning down a Duel with a Shitty Reason is Dumb.

You draw yourself into these situations, y'know. 😬

If coming into your thread and commenting on something you are doing wrong is starting a fight, then I am guilty of it in 90% of the sig threads I post in.
From your excessive ignorance and name calling, you are being reported. Good day.
