Picture of the Villain from Hatchet...

Here’s an early tease of the fearsome Victor Crowley character played by Kane Hodder in writer/director Adam Green’s HATCHET, the New Orleans-set slasher opus featuring horror icons Hodder, Robert Englund and Tony Todd, as well as BUFFY/ANGEL’s Mercedes McNab, Parry (THE HAZING) Shen and Joshua (BLAIR WITCH PROJECT) Leonard, which we last reported on here. “Wait until you see the full makeup,” Hodder says.

One of the film’s producers, Sarah Elbert, said. ”We have finished shooting HATCHET and are into postproduction now,” she says. “As Adam keeps saying, this is going to be the ultimate fan homage to an old-school genre. It’s like a rollercoaster ride. We had crew members going from laughing to crying to throwing up on set. Literally. I can’t wait for fans to see it!”

This sounds promising.

Cant wait 😉

cant' wait, really curious for that one

😱 i can't wait for the movie now!

When will this movie be released?

😱 FINAL DESTINATION 3 WILL BE GOOD! 😱

Nevermind, I got it.

Sounds kinda lame, IMO.

yeah, awsome cast, hope they pull it off, depends on what direction they try to go (i.e slasher etc). hope they go for alittle more depth than FvJ

I'm a little iffy with Hatchet from the plot outline I read on imdb.com it doesn't sound interesting at all.

Once there was a boy named Victor Crowley. He was born hideously deformed, and sadly, folks weren’t too kind to him. So he spent most of his life hidden in his Daddy’s house out in the bayou.

One Halloween night, the local children came throwing firecrackers at the house to tease and scare him. And the old Crowley house caught fire.
When Victor’s Daddy arrived home, the house was in flames. He went to the barn, grabbed himself a hatchet, and started chopping down the front door. But what he didn’t know was that Victor was pressed up against the other side, trying to get out. He hit him square in the face with that hatchet... and poor Victor Crowley died.
The old man went into mourning and became a recluse after that. Never left the house. Never spoke to anyone. He finally passed away about ten years later.
And that's when the stories started.
They say people tend to disappear in that swamp. And if you get close enough to the old Crowley house at night you can still hear Victor Crowley.
Still roaming in the woods.

I plan on seeing this, if just for the cast (Kane Hodder, Tony Todd, Robert Englund).

When a group of tourists on a New Orleans haunted swamp tour find themselves stranded in the wilderness, their evening of fun and spooks turns into a horrific nightmare.

For just once..****ing ONE TIME..could people NOT GET LOST AND STRANDED IN A HORROR MOVIE!?!

Yeah, no shit. I'm pretty sure I won't like a movie when it describes itself as 'Old School American Horror'. But I'll try not to base my opinion off of that, it showed nothing.

It's like the writers were thinking "Hey, let's try to think of a title that sounds kind of like 'Saw' but not too much that it's obvious".
