When darkseid came to earth after Doomsday escaped, as that an avatar or the real thing. Who knows, but Supes dropped him and then talked shit.

But in reality, we all know he could have Omega Beamed Superman to another dimension, and then locked him in it, or if he wasn't protected by The Source, that he could just turn him into a little human kid or something.

And then Wonder Woman bounces Omega Beams off her bracelets and he shoots himself in the face with it. [when he could have made it go AROUND her bracelets, or at least anywhere but into his own face.]

And then despite the fact he can teleport himself and others, he decides to engage Superman in a hand to hand fight in the middle of the sun.

Seriously, all of Superman's good showings against Darkseid are plot deviced up[which I believe is acceptible.] or PIS or Avatars/Desaad in disguise..
