Iron Man vs Superman, with a tiny twist

It's their animated counterparts! Iron Man from Season 2 vs Superman from Justice League Unlimited. Keep in mind that version of Superman:
1. Could not transcend lightspeed
2. Have heat vision hotter than the sun
3. Was vulnerable to a certain degree to physical harm

Who wins?

Ironman.

As far as i remember Supes in animated series got his a$$ handed almost in every fight.

Nay! He beat guys like Captain Marvel and Captain Atom! The only reason he didn't do very well against Wonder Woman (he didn't lose), is because he saw her reflection in the water and realized that it was really her and tried to stop her and prove that he was Superman. He didn't attack her from then on out.

He got ripped around pretty bad by a lot of people. He also didn't do well against anyone with energy projection.

The cartoon Superman is still considerably faster and stronger than the cartoon Ironman though, right?

Nope. About the same strength. Supes is a little faster. Iron Man can morph into about 10 armors that can adjust to combat.

Wolverine could take Animated Superman.

Beat Darkseid, I think. Darkseid in JLU was a pansy. Not much of a feat.

The animated Superman also beat Captain Marvel and Captain Atom. I think he should be able to take this version of Ironman.

This version of Iron Man took down Ultimo by himself, and also beat Mandarin with a suit of armor that only enhanced his strength. They're equal on the feats scale of things.

Lemme put this out there:

Speed and Strength - Animated Superman
Durability, Intelligence, and Versatility - Iron Man

They're about even.
