I´m graduating in physics this year, and I intend to begin masters degree as soon as I finish my gradutation. I don´t think its a good idea to wait if you intend to have a masters degree. I intend to reach PhD level, and to work as a researcher somewhere. I just don´t want to teach if possible.
Its interesting how so many students quit the course of physics, in the beginning we were about fifth, and now we are just 7, but usually there is only 2 or 3. In astronomy, there was just me in the class, specially because it was an opitional discipline. Very few people graduate in physics each year.
