That Odin feat did happen, but it was retconned. Also thor didn't even destroy a celestial, all he managed to do is shatter the dome and in the process destroy mjolnir, and I don't even think it was exitar either.
Plus the fact Odin and all the asgardians in the destroyer armour got whooped by one celestial pretty much makes your point void.

Stan Lee was the writer back then. Infinity was portrayed differently after that but Stan Lee says its the same Infinity. Marvel has gone through many changes over time to suit their perception of the comic book audience, and the remodeling of some characters was no doubt an attempt to be more"modern".Since you asked for a web-link, I was able to find this via google search:
hmm, that IS interesting. someone else claims it was retconned, though. fascinating that her first app. was that long ago and in a totally different incarnation. sounds like odin TAPPED her power, rather than 'beat' her though.
anyway, interesting tidbit -- still doesn't change my overall opinion though. perhaps odin has been depowered -- back in stan's day it was always a question who was more powerful odin or galactus -- but recent developments in marvel cosmology say odin is miniscule compared to the celestials.
hmmm, as far as i can remember the Mask (like the wooden object) is the subject of Loki's magic, and it belonged to him. In this case, how can The Mask's yielder have somewhat of a chance against Exitar, considering the fact that Loki is well below Odin and the likes.
i might be wrong though, don't throw rocks at me, that's what i remembered considering zee Mask 😄

Odin was severely depowered in his fight against the Celestials no doubt about it, in his fight against Arishem even with the power of Vishnu and Zeus the energy that was unleashed could hurl a planet out of orbit, which isn't interesting when his other feats previously are multiversal destruction and destroying of Galaxies, so yes he was depowered IMO.
