I aint gettin on no plane
Okey-Doke, the Scotsman with limited knowledge, but a hard season of double-headers and monday nights behind him, predicts:
Colts beat Denver. Purely going on the likelihood of Plummer making a daft choice and so helping out the awful colts defence. Turnovers will be key methinks.
Chargers beat Jets. Jets have Martin but the offensive play-calling so scarily conservative that touchdowns could be lacking. Also Chargers seem to have positive vibes round them and the NY media is circling high over the Jets.
Rams over Seahawks. Both skitso teams but after 4th quarter comeback early in the season I reckon the Rams have the psychological edge. Bulger's fresh and Mad Mike won't meddle enough to stop his team.
Pack over Vikings. Crappy defence all round but I reckon Grady Jackson is the key. No running game = limited passing game. Plus, it's Favre, at Lambeau, in the post-season.
Steelers beat Chargers. If Ben doesn't, Staley will, or the bus will. Big Ben has a cool head and experience around him, they have too much.
Pats beat Colts. belechik (sp) has outsmarted Payton before, I reckon it'll happen again. Also they now have a running game to speak of and I think Droughns will keep Manning an co. of the field for long enough to give the Pats the edge.
Falcons beat Rams. Because of Vick.
Steelers beat Pats. Becuase they ended the streak, better backs, better defence.
Packers beat Falcons. I reckon Favre and his team know this'll be their last real shot at it, I just think they'll want it more. Experience over Youth, in coaches too.
Steelers vs Pack. I dunno it's all about nerve and bottle. Pack's defence is ragged but unless Steelers depart from smashmouth and go aerial they won't take advantage of it. They have sheltered Big Ben for the season, will they take the training wheels off at the big one? Will he cope? I go with heart, Favre's glorious farewell.
