He was just messin, but I found it hilarious.

Yeah, I guess the reporter didnt hear the amount of laughter that happened behind TO when he made that quote. I find it quite funny that somebody actually believed that.

Bush may return this weekend. 🙂

YouTube video

Look at that gear switch at 2:29, very few players in the league can do that.

I'd rather see a Brees video. They can win w/o Bush, they ain't winning shit w/o Brees.

I like how one video segment has him running a TD in but was clearly down. hahahaha.

I admit he is a great athlete but is still overrated.

I agree. He may be a dynamic player and all, but when you look at his numbers you see he isn't really deserving that much credit.

There is nothing wrong with averaging 5 yards per touch(6 last season) behind a barely average line. He can do damage in space, that video proved that, unfortunately he hasn't been getting much of any this season. 🙁

Hmm... maybe if he was in a way better team he would become a better player.

adrian peterson had a better highlight real after 8 games than bush has after 2 years

True. Adrian Peterson is one helluva player.

Adrian Peterson has one helluva line. When Peterson went down, his backup ran for 160+ yards and 3 TD's. Bush is a better player, put him on the Vikings and see what he could do with the grand canyons that is being opened for Peterson. I think Peterson is a real good back, but he can't do a single thing that Bush can't do. If he was on the Saints he would MAYBE have one 100 yard rushing game. Bush gets most of his yards and big gains on pass plays(screens, wheels, etc..there is a reason for this), which is really the only time he gets space to do anything. Peterson doesn't produce much in the passing game, he isn't the type of back that would be productive in the Saints pass first system and their barely average line.

he cant do a single thing that bush cant do? your insane. Peterson is about a million times more physical. He could prolly become a line backer if he wanted. He can run up the gut all day long and run over people, he can also make the quick cuts and has absolute explosive speed. Is he as agile as bush, no he isnt. But he has great speed, great vision, great ability to change direction and make quick cuts and has extreme power. Peterson is the ideal type of RB, Bush is a specialty type of guy.

Fast Willy's season is over, but Pittsburgh should win their division.

Everything you just named, Bush can do, except the linebacker part, just no. ❌

And if someone spouts that whole "can't run in between the tackles" BS, I'm going to have to call your bluff. I love how people watch 1 game, 0 games, then become experts. I'm going to say it again, there is not a single thing Peterson can do that Bush can't(this was the same in college and it's the same now). Can you name something that is actually valid? Because speed, quick cuts and explosiveness are both things Bush can actually do better.

You just can't give all the credit to the line. If he wasn't that good he would not be able to do what he does, even if he has a good line.

I said he's a real good back(been saying it since he's been in college), but I guess I have to say the same for Taylor since he's averaging 5.3 yards per carry behind that line. I think they aren't getting as much credit as they deserve, but when you have two backs, both averaging over 5 yards per carry, I think you have to give majority of the credit to the line. Look at what Larry Johnson was doing this season before he got hurt, absolutely nothing!

Najeh stepped in nicely. They'll re-sign Verron Haynes. Though I hate it for him that his season is over, I think Willie was getting a little burned out from the excessive workload.

On a similar note, man, Steven Jackson sure is fun to watch. If he weren't such a fumbler (2 more last night, though he lost none), I'd be hard-pressed to think of a better back in the league. But he is, so I can.

First off, you are acting like Chestor Taylor is a scrub, which he is not. And to say Peterson would have maybe one 100 yard game is completley nuts. Adrian Peterson is light years ahead of Bush in the RB part of being a RB. The only reason Bush is actually valueable is because he is great and catching passes and helping the passing game. But he isn't even the best RB at doing that too. Brian Westbrook is.

Also, Stecker almost had back to back 100 yard games under N.O. O-line. Blaming the line, and saying thats the reason Bush has struggled is a copout, I think the fact that he has played hurt most of the year has more to with his struggles, than the line.

I disagree. You have to take into account the Saints offensive line. Coming into the season, everyone thought Johnson was the second best back in the league, yet he lost his line and went from 5.3 ypc to 4.3 ypc to 3.5 this season. Shaun Alexander, lost Hutchinson to the Vikings, now he's a bum, and look at whose running game got significantly better when they got him. The Edge was among the best backs in the league with Indy, until he went to Arizona and their god awful line.

And it's not like Bush is out there running deep routes, most of his catches come within a few yards of the line of scrimmage then it's mostly run after catch. He does the most damage doing that because that is when he gets space, he doesn't get much on hand offs. They should try to improve their line in the offseason, Sam Baker is the top prospect, so they should try to get him and maybe a player in free agency.

Man this Saints D is sad. Horrible secondary!

Need Vikings to lose their last two now.
