Favourite Music Documentary

What do you think is the best Music Doc, personally I like :

No Direction Home - Bob Dylan ( Scorcese )
The Last Waltz - The Band ( Scorcese )
The Filth and The Fury - Sex Pistols ( Julian Temple )
Biggie and Tupac ( Nick Broomfield )
Nirvana - Live, Tonight Sold Out
The Year Punk Broke
Westway to the World - The Clash ( Don Letts?)
Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues ( Series )
Lost Highway - The Story of Country Music
Rhyme and Reason - The Story of Hip Hop
C@ckSucker Blues - The Rolling Stones

It's more about the people than the music, but 'DiG!' is great.

So its not actually a real one, but gotta be 'This is Spainal Tap' it's ****in hilarious!!

The Filth and the Fury...........awesome doc.......

also, how do you consider Live Tonight Sold out a doc? It's not a documentary.......tells no story.......isn't even narrated. It's a collage of live performances......with I think a few home videos shot by Krist thrown in between songs........

"I'M NOT LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE" - The World Of Ray Davies And The Kinks

Not a Doc as such, but similar, it has alot of interviews with the band and other musicians as well as home video and concert footage.

yeah, the Filth is pretty good, Dig is a fine movie too

Yeah I forgot about DIG!, it is genius.
Pleasure and Pain - Ben Harper is decent, Festival Express is pretty cool, and Standing in the Shadows of Motown is brilliant.

The Who - The Kids are Alright

End of the Century - The Story of the Ramones.

No Direction Home
24 Hour Party People

Thug Life---most of the Tupac’ documentaries are decent but i think Thug Life is the best one.

The worst documentary would have to be, Kurt and Courtney! As much as I love Nirvana and Kurt, that documentary was horrible and so was Gus Van Sant's: Last Days.... (<the movie)

Resurrection - Tupac.
