De Niro!
Amen just look at the performances.
(The Godfather pt2)he actually had you believe that he was Marlon's Vito Corleone as a young man and whats even cooler, is that both won awards for playing the same character. I think that moment went down in oscar history.
(Taxi Driver)what can I say.... his brilliant performance as a ex-vietnam vet who drives a cab to be driven to Violence by depression, anger and rejection...you feel the character.
(Awakenings) This was a sad movie and De Niro was fantastic as Leonard Lowe. A man who has been in a catatonic state for most of his life to come out of it and enjoy the things in life we take for granted just to go right back to his state.
There is more but I think I got my message across. When I watch this man onscreen, I see the character and watch the man himself dissapear.
My opinion ofcourse since De Niro is my favorite actor.
Also I think it's travesty that another acting lengend such as Al Pacino has only won ONE oscar while Sean Penn and Tom Hanks have won TWO 😠
Jason Bateman.
Really? I adore him in films, but to me he is one of the samey samey actors, he was slightly different in Kingdom from what I can remember, but really everything else he seems to have the Michael Cera curse but not on that scale. Certainly not a great actor anyway. He looks the same in his new film Extract too...
I haven't seen State of Play yet though.
