Digimon question

In season three, episode 51, Renamon clearly stated that Digimon tdo not have a gender, But in Digimon season 2, episode 6, Palmon stated that she is a lady, but is not a push over.

Now, the creator refused to answer this question. If Palmon stated herself as a lady, and renamon said Digimon do not have a Gender. Whats up with that? do they have a gender or not?

I am filled with shame over answering a Digimon question, but Digimon seasons 1 and 2 take place in a different universe then season 3, don't they? So different rules may apply.

Yes but look at the digi world in season 1/2 it's extremely different from season 3.

Plus digimon is more like a reco type thing in season 3, where as in the first two seasons their is no prior knowledge to digimon at all
