Shadow could be a skin for Sonic (and I guess Silver but no one likes him) and Metal Sonic could also be a skin...just a guess.

Knuckles just has longer quills, he's red, and he has spikes on his knuckles.

Incorrect statement, yes I would like to play as Blaze, Omega and Metal Sonic, but the arch Enemy of Sonic would be a better choice, after all Eggman has been in the games longer then Tails; Knuckles.
